The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) and the Shahjehan Syed Karim Incubation Centre (SSKIC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) welcomed Prof. Dr. Javaid Laghari, Former Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Convener of the HEC Task Force on ORICs and BICs, along with Dr. Erum Abbasi, Member of the HEC Task Force, on 15 July 2026.
During the visit, the ORIC and SSKIC teams presented an overview of their operations, key achievements, research and innovation initiatives, startup support mechanisms, and industry-academia linkages. The delegation also shared valuable recommendations for further strengthening research, innovation, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and institutional collaboration.
The visit included a meeting with Mr. Talib Karim, President, IoBM, followed by a tour of the ORIC and SSKIC facilities.
Through such engagements, ORIC–IoBM continues to strengthen its research and innovation ecosystem while fostering entrepreneurship and meaningful industry partnerships.
